The CJ Hoty show on May 3rd at Jittery Joes in Watkinsville has been rescheduled for May 10th. Also, due to scheduling conflict CJ will not be performing at the Food Truck Rodeo on May 4th. We are sorry for any inconvenience but we hope to see you at the rescheduled show on May 10th. Thankyou

Introducing Cellist Christopher Brown

Hey everyone! I'd like to introduce you to my friend and fellow musician, Christopher Brown. We have known about each other in the music scene for a little while now but we have never had the opportunity to work together- until now. Chris came by the studio last month and we started recording tracks for a new instrumental, Spanish Finale. After a couple recording sessions we have really put something special together and we are very excited to let you all in on it. Spanish Finale will also feature a couple other fantastic musicians, and I am recording a companion dvd of the making of this instrumental as the music is being made! It has been great to work with Chris on this recording and we look forward to doing more collaborations together in the future! -CJ |
CJ HOTYhas been performing music for more than five years now. He has performed and frequented a number of venues in and around Cleveland, OH including Wilbert’s, and the Symposium, as well as some of the well known local spots such as Mike’s Barn of Medina, and Seeker's Coffee House and Cafe of Middleburg. He and his wife, Joy, now live in Athens, GA. Along with the opportunities to perform with numerous other local bands at shows and festivals, CJ has also had the honor of opening for his biggest inspiration, national artist Phil Keaggy. CJ's solo act is inventive and refreshing - akin to an acoustic one-man-band with the use of a BOSS looper, and other musical gear. Recently, CJ's newest and biggest musical passion is the CJ Hoty Band...

CJ HOTY BANDis an alternative rock trio. They have performed in downtown Cleveland, OH at venues such as Peabody's Concert Club, The Foundry, and the Cleveland Agora. They play songs off of CJ Hoty's recent album "Between A Rock and A Hard Place," as well as other original and cover songs. The band is made up of CJ Hoty, song-writer, guitarist and vocalist; Dan Pogue, bassist and back-up vocalist; and Emmanuel Zerbo, drummer. The band's live shows also include frequent guest Matt M. on back-up vocals, percussion, and keys. Matt is also the lead singer of musical endeavor Jehovah Bus...

JEHOVAH BUSis an acoustic, gospel duo led by Matthew M. with CJ Hoty. Matt and CJ met over music and have been playing guitar together for a number of years now. They have recently begun recording songs for a future album. Matt is the singer, songwriter, and rhythm guitarist for Jehovah Bus, while CJ accents the songs with both back-up vocals and guitar. JB, though mostly studio-oriented presently (They are wrapping up their first studio album), is an act that continues to grow, and will hopefully be back on the live scene soon.
